PDF Tools Suite

Merge, split, compress, and convert PDFs without uploading them.

100% client-side — your data is processed in this browser tab and never uploaded anywhere.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose Merge PDFs, Extract / Split Pages, or Images → PDF from the tabs above.
  2. Drag files into the drop zone, or click it to browse — for merge and image-to-PDF, add as many files as you need and reorder them with the ↑/↓ buttons.
  3. For splitting, type the page numbers or ranges you want (e.g. "1-3,5,8-10") once the file loads and shows its total page count.
  4. Click the action button — the result downloads straight to your device as a new PDF, with no wait for an upload or server queue.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Don't use this on an encrypted/password-protected PDF — decrypt it first, since the tools can't read protected files.
  • When merging, double-check the file order in the list before downloading — the merged PDF follows that order top to bottom.
  • For "Images → PDF," only JPG and PNG are currently supported; other formats (HEIC, WebP, etc.) need converting to JPG/PNG first.

Why process PDFs in the browser instead of uploading them?

Most free "PDF tools" websites work by uploading your file to their server, processing it there, then giving you a link to download the result — which means a copy of your document, even briefly, sits on infrastructure you don't control. This suite instead uses pdf-lib, a PDF library that runs as plain JavaScript, so merging, splitting, and building PDFs from images all happen using your device's own CPU and memory. Nothing about your document — its content, its filename, or the fact that you used the tool at all — is visible to us.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to merge or edit sensitive/confidential PDFs here?
Yes — every operation (merge, extract pages, image-to-PDF) runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to a server; if you disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded, the tools keep working.
Is there a file size or page count limit?
No artificial limit is imposed by us — the practical limit is your device's available memory, since processing happens locally rather than being capped by a server-side quota.
Can I merge password-protected or encrypted PDFs?
Not currently — encrypted PDFs need to be decrypted first (in whatever tool you used to protect them) before they can be merged, split, or have pages extracted here.
What page range syntax does the split/extract tool accept?
A comma-separated list of page numbers and ranges, e.g. "1-3,5,8-10" extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 10.

How GetByteRush compares

Most free tools for this online work the same way: you upload your file to their server, wait, then download the result — which means your file (and often your email, for a "free" account) sits on someone else's infrastructure. Here's the actual difference:
